When compared with other laptops geared towards productivity such as Macbook pro,it has a better keyboard, better screen if you go for 4k panel, has all the important i/o (honestly I don't mind thunderbolt ports except sd card) and is upgradable. Honestly as you said XPS 15 is a fantastic piece of machine. What are the pros and cons to each and what would you suggest. However I’m interested in other peoples experiences and suggestions based on experiences.

Honestly if the MacBook Pro is powerful enough to run above mentioned games then it seems like it would be the choice for me. On the other hand I’ve heard that the MacBook Pro is good for work in terms of coding and things that I’ll be doing and getting into. My laptop now cannot run any of these except for low end emulators like PlayStation 1 and PSP. I’m not a huge gamer, mainly play games like Fortnite, sports games like NBA 2k and Madden, and I like to run emulators and play games from my childhood.
It’ll be used for work and casual gaming. Long story short, I need help deciding between a MacBook Pro or a gaming laptop like an Asus FX502VM. My laptop now is pretty outdated, but gets the job done as far as school goes.
